The Selma to Montgomery Relay and Bike Ride is more than just 51 miles, it’s the commemoration of American History. This is an opportunity for athletes and other interested individuals to have an immersive Civil Rights experience from the famous Edmund-Pettus Bridge to the various historic markers along the route including the home of Martin Luther King Jr., the Historic Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, the site where Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat, and the Lab of George Washington Carver.
This will be an opportunity to experience the Equal Justice Initiative Museum and the Lynching Memorial, which is dedicated to all of the Black people lynched in the United States. This will be an opportunity to remember the struggles of great people who fought hard for equality!
